Cheap and Free Things to do in Paris

Csilla Elam
Whether you want to go on a honeymoon, vacation, anniversary, or just to visit, Paris is a great choice. But, how can one have a wonderful time and on a budget? How can one even afford to go on a European vacation with the economy so weak? Do not panic! Here are some great things you can do on a budget in PARIS and still have fun.

1. Visit the Gardens in Paris-beautiful display or nature and also of different characters.

2. Visit the Jardin Des Tuileries -all free; take your own drink and snack and a cheap camera and take lots of pictures.Create memories not expense.

3.Shakespeare and Company-one of the best known English bookstores-I love visiting bookstores...sit down and read; relax you are in Paris.

4. Orangerie-a small museum in Paris with free entrance on the first Sunday of each month

5. Take a walk where the Tour Eiffel is. Enjoy the view.

6. Get some European dessert. You cannot find those in the USA.

7. Play some tennis (free) in the Jardin de Luxembourg-beautiful park

8. Visit Notre Dame-amazing building-free unless you want to climb the towers

9. To save even more money why not buy bus, train, and museum passes for a week so if you want to do the same thing next day you do not have to pay a lot of money in the end

10. Eat McDonalds! Yes! I am not kidding. The food at McDonalds's in Europe is much better than here and the restaurants are clean. They value the fast food chains there and think of them as a luxury to eat out at all since most people eat at home.

12. Visit cathedrals. It is free to access a "church". You can view the beautiful architecture, paintings, and more.
