Cheap Gag Gifts for Christmas

ED Watts
With all of the gift exchanging at Christmas, why not spice it up a little bit with gag gifts? Try some of these gag gift ideas for fun.

Reindeer Poop

What you'll need: At least one package of Raisinettes (more depending on how many of these you want to hand out), snack baggie, labels, marker.

Instructions: On a label, write down: "Santa's Reindeer Left You a Treat" and stick it on the baggie, insert Raisinettes.

Many folks will get a kick out of the Reindeer Poop and enjoy the snack this inexpensive gag gift offers. You can do different variations of this gift with Elf Poop (Tootise Rolls or Baby Ruth miniatures).

Tacky Jewelry

What you'll need: Jewelry gift box, string, and macaroni.

Instructions: String macaroni noodles on a length of string. Tie the string off at the end, and then put the necklace or bracelet in a gift box.

Whoever gets this gag gift will think they've gotten something nice when they first see the box, but they are in for a surprise. If you can find a blue Tiffany box, that will make the gag even better.

Bathroom Buddy

Stick a magazine or newspaper in a gift bag with a roll of toilet paper. This is a fun gag gift to give because not only is it cheap, it is sure to get a lot of laughs.

Handyman Kit

You need only one item to complete this handyman kit and that is a roll of duct tape. Stick the roll of duct tape in a box and write "Handyman Kit" on the side. This is a neat gift to give because it's cheap and easy to put together, plus it strikes on a little bit of truth, as many of our handyman skills are limited to using duct tape to fix everything.

Snowman

What you'll need: Water, baggie, label, and marker.

Instructions: On a label, write "Snowman", stick the label to the baggie, and put some water in the baggie.

This is a fun and simple gag gift. It's different from some of the other gag gifts people choose to give (hemorrhoid cream or a can of beans) and it is cute.

Slippers

What you'll need: Four maxi pads and tape.

Instructions: Unwrap the maxi pads. Two of the pads will serve as the soles of the slipper. Using tape, fasten the other two pads at the top of each sole to form the toe.

This is a fun gag gift not only because of the absurdity, but because you can personalize these slippers for the recipient.
