It's a nice gesture to buy your co-worker a present for his or her birthday, especially if this is someone you work with on a constant basis. However, it is understandable that you don't want to spend an extreme amount of money on that present either. Luckily, here are five suggestions to buying some nice and useful birthday gifts, each costing only $10!

Movie Night:

Put together a gift package that has all the essentials for a good movie night. At Blockbuster or Hollywood Video, purchase a $5 gift card. This is more than enough for a new release DVD rental. Pair the gift card with some gourmet popcorn and popcorn seasoning and you've got yourself a nice gift for a colleague who enjoys a good cinema.

Deli Lunch:

This gift is a special one because its one you can share with your coworker and one that treats them to an enjoyable lunch. Treat them to lunch at a cute little deli restaurant one afternoon when they're free. A Deli makes for a perfect place to chat, enjoy the mid-day and satisfy your hunger. A sandwich and lemonade should cost you under $10.

Restaurant.com ($25):

Restaurant.com has a really awesome deal in which they sell their $25 gift certificates for only $10! Purchase a gift certificate to restaurant.com and give the code as a gift to your co-worker so that they can choose their favorite restaurant from the list. Or, you can purchase a gift certificate for them to a restaurant in your city, using your own account. Visit: http://www.restaurant.com

Frappuccino!:

Everyone loves a good Starbucks Frappuccino. And if that's not their thing, Starbucks also sells smoothies and desserts. Purchase a $5 gift certificate to Starbucks, and put it in a nice and unique coffee mug. Again, if your friend doesn't like coffee, maybe you can put some packets of gourmet raspberry hot cocoa in the mug instead.

Customized photo gifts:

Artscow.com and Snapfish.com both sell a variety of fun items in which you can place your personalized photo on. Suggestions include: mouse pad, ornaments, photo frames, T-shirt, photo books, mugs and stickers. The ones that would go well in your co-worker's office would be a customized mouse pad or a ceramic mug. If you don't have any photos that would go well with a customized gift for this person, at least there is always the option of a gift certificate to that place with a brief description of the goodies they can purchase.
