Cheap Granola Bars: Sunbelt Golden Almond Chewy Granola Bars
These Granola Bars Were Very Chewy Tasted Good but They Are Definitely Best
When I look over the granola bars on the cereal aisle there are a couple of things that I keep in mind. I prefer to get granola bars that don't contain any chocolate chips or chunks to avoid more sugar content. I occasionally will avoid granola bars that have raisins for the same reason. In addition I like to get the chewy granola bars because I feel as though they are more enjoyable to eat and easier for my toddler son to eat as well. Lastly I have to take the price of the granola bars into consideration because I have a very tight grocery budget. It was with all of this in mind that I got a box of Sunbelt Golden Almond Chewy Granola Bars.
The box contained eight granola bars and only cost me about two dollars. They were chewier than the Quaker Chewy Granola Bars that I was use to getting and had similar nutrition facts. In one of the Sunbelt Golden Almond Chewy Granola Bars there was one hundred and thirty calories with fifty calories from fat. There was only sixty-five milligrams of sodium, seventeen grams of carbohydrates, one gram of fiber, eight grams of sugars and two grams of protein. The nutrition facts also listed two percent for both calcium and iron. Like the nutrition facts I was not too surprised with the ingredients of these granola bars.
The Sunbelt Golden Almond Chewy Granola Bars were made of whole grain oats, sugar, coconut, palm kernel and soy bean oils, corn syrup, honey, molasses, soy lechithin, salt, corn starch, peanuts, almonds, egg whites, almonds, crisp rice, water, sorbitol, nonfat dry milk, salt and carrageenan. I understand that the nutrition facts were not great and the ingredients were not great either but as far as cheap granola bars they were not that bad. Overall I was still completely comfortable eating them after reading the box.
The Sunbelt Golden Almond Chewy Granola Bars are inexpensive and so I plan to continue to get them. Both my son and I enjoy their taste, but when I can help it I will get something better for him, and as I said before they are chewier than other granola bars that we have had. This makes them easier for him to eat them which I think is a good thing. I don't plan on eating a ton of granola bars, and only plan on giving them to my son twice or three times a week as I think that fresh fruits and veggies are a better choice for a snack. I would recommend for anyone to try these granola bars.
