If your groomsmen are coming from out of town and staying a few nights a gift certificate to a local restaurant makes a great groomsmen gift for your wedding. It allows your groomsmen to enjoy a meal at a restaurant that you choose for that personal touch. At the same time it allows them to save money as well, which they will appreciate after spending the money to travel for your wedding and stay overnight.
Choose a bottle of the favorite liquor for each of your groomsmen. This is something that they will enjoy drinking, and might even share with you while in town. Most reasonably priced bottles of liquor are under $25. If your groomsmen are more of the beer drinking kind, find them a couple of six packs of bottles of beer that are local to your area. They can drink these or save them as a wedding keepsake.
If you are having a formal dinner as your rehearsal dinner, a nice tie makes a good groomsmen gift. Make sure you gift this gift to your groomsmen before the rehearsal dinner though instead of at the dinner itself. It is a good idea to choose ties that aren't too specific to your wedding, in other words no names or wedding related designs, this way the tie can be worn for other events as well.
If your groomsmen are sports fans, choose an article of clothing like a polo shirt or a nice hat from their favorite sports teams. Again, think of each individual groomsmen's preferences instead of your own when choosing the team. Other items that make good sports related gifts for your groomsmen include mugs or desk sets for their office.
Choose a nice photo frame for your groomsmen. Many times photo frames are reserved for bridesmaid gifts, but they can work great for groomsmen gifts as well. Personalize the frame by purchasing one that holds multiple photos and include some of times you have shared with each groomsmen. Leave a few blank spaces in the frame though for them to add photos from the time they spend with you during this wedding visit.
All of these gifts can easily be purchased for under $25 for your groomsmen as wedding gifts. Groomsmen gifts do not have to be expensive, as a matter of fact these items will be more likely to be used than an expensive item such as a pocket watch or engraved set of drinking glasses.
