Woody from Toy Story Halloween Costume
One great idea comes straight from the beloved, famous movie Toy Story. Woody, the cowboy character from the movies, is fun, friendly, and simple. Create this look with a simple yellow button up top, red ascot, black and white vest, blue jeans, and a pair of brown boots, topped with a nice brown cowboy hat. Your local thrift store or toy store should have everything you need to complete this getup. This cheap, inexpensive outfit will grab every child's attention, making your ranger the envy of the night.
Wizard Halloween Costume
Maybe your child isn't into the cowboy look. Another inexpensive look may be a Wizard with a long cloak, pointy hat and fake beard. Cloth can be found at any inexpensive thrift store or fabric store for just a few dollars a yard. A piece of poster board rolled into a cone shape and covered in fabric would work nicely for a Wizard cap, and wouldn't be too heavy on the child's head. A clean, dry, stringy mop head would give the perfect look for a Wizard's beard. If you choose to add a wand, a yard stick will do. You may also be able to find a small plastic one from a toy store in your location.
Bob the Builder Halloween Costume
Is your child too young to try the Wizard outfit? Why not give Bob the Builder a try? This adorable outfit will draw attention of builders young and old everywhere. Try this simple look with a red, a yellow, or an orange button up shirt and a pair of blue jean overalls. Don't forget to buy a toy tool belt and a plastic construction hat (found at any toy store). If you don't already have the shirt or overalls you may be able to find them at a thrift store, second-hand store, or consignment shop. Small children will love this comfortable and creative look, and your wallet will love the money saved!
Mime Halloween Costume
Looking for a unique look? How about a mime? This cheap Halloween costume is an all time favorite that is slowly fading from Trick-or-Treating today. Mimes however will always be loved as a character through out time. A simple black and white stripped shirt, black slacks, black shoes, black hat, and maybe some suspenders will go great with black and white face paint. Although mimes are silent, this outfit will scream with creativity and uniqueness! Whatever look you choose to go for, just remember to have fun, be creative, stay safe, and look your best without paying a hefty price for the costume you choose to wear.
