Cheap Holiday Gifts for Employees

Donna Daniels
When it comes to the holidays employees expect, deserve and want to be appreciated for all they do for their employer. A holiday gift from an employer is a simple way for an employer to show they appreciate their employees. Times are tough and it is hard to give the wonderful gifts that employees want to get. Every employee would love to get the gift of money yet money may be hard for the employer to give.

A Holiday party is a great way to show all the employees at the same time that they are appreciated. A party at the employer's personal residence is great. You could even invite the employee's families to the party. Serve different kinds of food at the party. You don't have to make it a party serving alcohol instead have the party in the afternoon and serve soft drinks and cocoa. Make it a sledding or skiing party for a great holiday activity.

You may not have time to give your employees a party. If times are really hard you can give a simple card with a very nice message. It may seem cheap to some employee's but if you are having a hard time making ends meet they should understand. They would rather have their jobs then a present.

Food is always an appreciated gift. A basket filled with fruit like apples, oranges, and grapefruit can be bought at a grocery store and it can cost about thirty dollars. You can save even more money by going to a Dollar store and buying some baskets and fill them with fruit yourself. You can also put crackers, candy and cosmetics in the basket.

Ladies that work for you can enjoy a nice bottle of hand lotion or a nice facial product. Ladies like to smell nice so you could give a bottle of scented oil for a Holiday present. For male employees you can give a small tool kit for a holiday present. You can get small tool kits at a store like Walmart or Kmart.

A holiday turkey can be a good holiday present. Buy up some nice turkeys and if you buy a bunch of turkeys from the same place you might get a good discount. Check at a local turkey farm near where you live and find out if they give any specials for buying several turkeys.

A small gift may seem somewhat cheap but it is better then giving no gift at all.
