Dublin offers several hostels to choose from, during your visit in Ireland. Most of the hostels are just as nice as a hotel in Dublin, but for the lowest prices you will be in dorm-style rooms. The benefit to a hostel in Ireland is meeting all of the other world travelers or backpackers that you cross paths with.

Browns Hostel

89-90 Lower Gardiner St

Browns Hostel has female and mixed dorms for $12.27 and up per night. Some of the dorms include a shower and toilet to share with your roommates, while others don't and use the communal facilities. The hostel provides wireless internet access in the lobby, a free breakfast and linen is included as well. Laundry facilities and a guest kitchen make this hostel well worth the low nightly price.

Mount Eccles Court

42 North Great Georges Street, Dublin 1

Mount Eccles Court has many mixed dorms, one female dorm and three private rooms. The cheapest rate is $13.63 a night, in a large mixed dorm. Linens and breakfast are included in your nightly rate at the Mount Eccles Court and wireless internet is available in the lobby. There are kitchen lockers to keep your food stored in the guest kitchen, as well as common rooms for watching tv, reading and conversation.

Dublin City Bunkhouse

The Dublin City Bunkhouse has three mixed dorms and a female dorm. The lowest rate is $16.35 a night for a bed in the mixed dorm. A full breakfast, linens and wireless internet, through out the bunkhouse, are provided free. The common rooms have contemporary and leather furnishings as well as a large screen tv and games and books for guests to enjoy. This hostel offers a reception area and computer area, aside from the common room and dining area for guests to utilize during their stay.

Shining Hostel

The Shining Hostel provides mixed and female dorms, starting at $13 - $15 a night. The Shining provides a buffet breakfast, internet and linens. The rooms are good sized and offer bunk-bed style sleeping arrangements. The bathrooms at the Shining, are large enough to accommodate all of the guests and as nice as any hotel offers. Bike rentals, luggage storage and airport transfers are all available at this hostel. For those looking for work in the Dublin area, there is a job board in the hostel that offers day work, as well as temp and permanent positions.
