Opp is a small town located in the southeastern region of Alabama. During the late 1990's, Opp faced economic challenges to the industrial industry which caused factories and businesses to close down. At the turn of the century businesses began to move into Opp due to the proximity to the Gulf Coast. Travelers looking for inexpensive accommodations seek out hotels in the Opp area even though lodging is limited.

City Center

In the heart of the city is Best Western Opp Inn. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast, free wireless Internet, a seasonal outdoor pool and a fitness center. Parking is free and accommodates vehicles of all sizes. Local family friendly restaurants within the city include B&B Steakhouse, Barr's Seafood and Burlap &Beans. During the month of April, Opp hosts the annual Rattlesnake Rodeo. This event is family friendly and has activities including karaoke contests, live music, snake shows and snake races.

Near the College
