India Bistro
India Bistro is located in the northern part of the University District on the corner of 64th avenue and Roosevelt. The food was surprisingly fresh and delicious, even during the latter hours of the afternoon the food was hot and freshly prepared. The butter chicken was exceptionally rich and tasty. A basket of naan is given to each buffet patron upon arrival. The cost of the buffet is $6.95, excluding soft drinks. The only complaint that customers have is that the restaurant does not give enough naan to the patrons. Requests for additional naan will cost you extra money.
Mirch Masala
Mirch Masala is located in the Capitol Hill area and is on the corner of Olive Way and Broadway. For $7.95, you will be able to experience a variety of delicious Indian foods. The daily buffet serves butter chicken, paneer, Aloo Saag, tandoori chicken, chutney and Methi chicken (any many more items). People who are curious about Indian food should try this lunch buffet as the food served during the lunch hour is what a majority of people order during dinner time. The butter chicken sauce was rich and the chicken melts in your mouth. The wait staff is very friendly and will bring out a free basket of naan with every buffet order. Even though the buffet costs a $1 extra (compared to India Bistro), the food here is definitely worth the cost. For the price and service, Mirch Masala stands out above the rest for Indian buffets in the Seattle area.
