If you love a great hotdog while relaxing with video games then this is the place to eat at a cheap lunch restaurant in New York City. They also serve hamburgers, which are great. The sad part f this is there is a 10 dollar minimum purchase when using a credit card, so be sure to take a friend. Hot Dogs cost almost 4 dollars but these are loaded hotdogs. You can order a Chihuahua hotdog, which is wrapped in bacon, with avocado and sour cream. I would skip the avocado but otherwise it is a great hotdog.

If you love dumplings as I do. You have to try this little restaurant, which is cheap but very good. This is a perfect blend of meat or vegetables in pasta, and seasoned to perfection. These are steamed and then fried to bring out the flavor quite wonderfully. You can get five dumplings for just a dollar so you could be filled here very cheaply. Tourists and college students come to for cheap food in New York City this place. Plenty of sandwiches here, with meat and potato fillings along with sauces that make the sandwich s wonderful. You can also get a great salad here for 1.50 and grab some Masala Chia tea with it, which is fruit, and you have a great meal for fewer than 5 dollars.
This is a busy restaurant so there is a small waiting time of 10 minutes or so. This is a cheap lunch restaurant in the heart of New York City.

Gourmet pizza served in a pizzeria with chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. There is a cheap lunch restaurant bar, which you can sit at if you are dining solo, but plenty of tables. I would try the creamy spinach and ricotta cheese stuffed shells they are excellent. This is great dining value for just 6 bucks when you add a drink. You could try the Romano pizza as well which is excellent, and is tummy filler.

Great place for Chinese food, you pay at the counter and then your meal is served at one of the many tables. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and great food make this a popular place for lunch or dinner. Short ribs, sesame noodles, are excellent choices for just 5 dollars a piece with a drink. I recommend having a Gus drink, which tastes better then your typical sodas. This is a cheap lunch restaurant in the heart of New York City.

Delicious burgers are made fresh to order here and served to professionals, tourist, and the college crowd as well. All the burgers here are flame broiled giving them a wonderful taste and filling the restaurant with the delicious smell of dinner. Grab a cheeseburger here as they use two different kinds of cheddar cheese on them, with all the sides you could ever want. Your French fries will come in a greasy bag, which removes some of the grease, which is great. A cheeseburger, drink, and fries will cost almost 11 dollars, but it is filling and delicious so it is justifiable for a cheap lunch restaurant while in New York City.

If you are hungry for home-style meatloaf, yams and good southern cooking this is the favorite lunch place to go. A wide variety of locals comes to this laid-back restaurant for great coking and friendly staff, and it is reasonably priced as well. You can get a nice rack of southern cooked ribs here for fewer than 10 dollars and with that, you get a drink and all the trimmings. You will not go home hungry after eating at this cheap lunch restaurant.
