When you squeeze out a droplet of the Maybelline liquid foundation mineral make up it looks like most other liquid foundations. When you put it on your skin you can instantly feel that this liquid foundation is different. It's silky smooth and lightweight.

The Maybelline liquid foundation mineral make up does make you feel like you're wearing a mask. It does not feel heavy, and your skin can breathe.

Blends Easily

This mineral make up goes on so lightly and smoothly that blending with your fingertips is effortless. Unlike some mineral make up powders, it does not streak when put on over a liquid moisturizer.

Different Shades

There are 16 different shades of this liquid mineral make up. Not all stores seem to carry the same shades, so you may need to shop around. I was uncertain as to which shade to choose, since summer is coming and I tend to use a sunless face tanner.

Had I known about the color picker before I bought it, I would have first tried to select my shade at the Maybelline web site.

I tried a Medium shade called Light Beige. I was surprised that when I first put the liquid mineral make up on it actually looked quite golden yellow. I was concerned because I don't normally wear mineral make up or any other liquid foundation with yellow undertones.

As I blended it in, I was amazed that the color blended just right. It did not look yellow, and it did not look like I had any liquid foundation on my face.

The Maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Foundation comes in a small 1 ounce plastic bottle that you can squeeze. The top also makes it easy for this liquid mineral make up to be dispensed.

It's important to note that this liquid mineral make up can be easily squeezed. This makes it easier to get most of the make up out of the bottle. Traditionally foundations come in glass bottles, even now. This can make getting the last quarter of the make up out of the bottle difficult. Being able to squeeze the make up out of the bottle makes it a better buy than a liquid foundation in a glass bottle.

Portable Size

The size of the Maybelline mineral make up liquid foundation makes it easy to slip into a small purse or a beach bag. The cover also twists on tightly, minimizing the risk of spills.

Sun Protection

The Maybelline liquid mineral make up contains a sunscreen with SPF 18. Normally I use Neutrogena moisturizer which contains SPF 15. Having the SPF 18 sunscreen foundation already in the Maybelline liquid foundation makes it easy to cut one extra step out of getting ready.

The SPF in the Maybelline mineral make up liquid foundation comes from the Octinoxate. Octinoxate is used in cosmetics and health and beauty aids as a sunscreen.

Clear Pores

Another benefit of the Mabyelline product that I like is that it does not clog pores. I tended to pick Neutrogena over most other drugstore brands because they were the only ones that made noncomedogenic make up products. Now the Maybelline liquid mineral make up also has that benefit.

What It Doesn't Have, Thankfully

I also like what this Maybelline mineral make up in liquid form does not contain. It does not contain talc, oil or fragrance. If you have sensitive skin, or are sensitive to fragrance, this cheap mineral make up may suit you.
