Cheap Places to Live in the United States

Jimmy Smith
There are some cheap places to live in the United States, and some very expensive ones. Cheap places to live and raise a family or just to rent are heavily sought-after by people with low incomes or people looking to save money. These places aren't always in bad areas and some are very good places and will have you wondering what you were paying all that money for in the first place.

Dayton, Ohio is very cheap, and I know because I lived there. A real nice one bedroom apartment can be had for about $400-$500 with some as low as $300 or even lower. The cost of living and food is also very cheap as well. The surrounding area is also extremely cheap, and very rural if you are looking to get away from it all. You will have nice views of corn fields and your bills will also be low.

Wichita, Kansas is also very cheap and apartments run in the $300-$500 dollar range for a one bedroom. You may even be able to find a two bedroom for $500 depending on where you want to stay. Like Dayton, Wichita is a very cheap and rural area. It is also a very nice to get away from it all in Wichita. The rule of thumb is that the more "in the middle of nowhere" you are, the more cheap it is going to be.

Louisville, Kentucky is another cheap place to live with apartments ranging from $350-$600 for a nice one bedroom place. Louisville,Dayton and Wichita are some of the cheapest places to live in the United States. Louisville is a nice place to live and very cheap as well, prices are about on par with Dayton and Wichita. It is basically half of what you would pay for anything in a place like New York CIty.

In conclusion, there are many places in the United States that you could live relatively cheaply in. A budget of perhaps only $600 a month could get you by in one of these cheap places to rent. Finding a job may be hard in some of these places, and public transportation isn't all that great, so make sure you have a vehicle. You may also want to have a good amount of money saved up before you leave, because it could take you a while to find a job, or you may lose your job later.

these places are cheap because of transportation; and hard to find and keep jobs. That's what makes them cheaper.
