San Francisco locals consider El Farolito to be the best late night, after hours restaurant in the city because they are open almost all night long. They have an extensive menu with only 1 item being over $5. The El Farolito Super Burrito is wrapped in a flour tortilla filled with your choice of meat, rice, beans, tomato, onion, cilantro, salsa, cheese, sour cream and avocado. They even have vegetarian burritos.

El Metate - 2406 Bryant St - Here you'll find a classic sampling of San Francisco Mexican Mission style food. Instead of crowded lines like most fast food restaurants, here you'll find a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The burritos are huge and well priced. A beef burrito filled with rice, beans and cheese will run you $4.25.

Zona Rosa - 1797 Haight Street - Zona Rosa's is a change of pace in that it lies in the Haight Ashbury district (home to the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin). These are not your regular mission street style burritos so don't expect the usual here. Rosa's burritos come in a crispy fried shell rather than normal soft flour tortilla you're used to but they taste is exquisite. For only $4.45 you can get a super burrito, your choice of grilled steak, chicken, chicken verde or carnitas with rice, refried beans, cheese and guacamole.

Green Chile Kitchen - 601 Baker St - The vegetarian lover will appreciate this place. For only $4.95 patrons will find a vegetarian burrito with pinto, refried or black beans, rice, lettuce, pico de gallo and red or green chile. Word to the wise; the service isn't all that friendly and the busier the place gets the slower the orders are to come out of the kitchen.
