Cheap Stocking Stuffers for Christmas 2008 - While many of us may wish to find a diamond ring or iPod Nano in the toe of our Christmas stockings, chances are it's not going to be there. It's far more likely that we'll find one of these budget-friendly stocking stuffers. Stuffing a Christmas stocking with inexpensive little gifts doesn't have to be a challenge. There are tons of cheap stocking stuffers for everyone on your list.

Little kids love candy, and that's a perfect cheap stocking stuffer. A box of character gummies (such as Dora, Cars, Barbie, etc.) costs less than $2 and contains 10 packs--you can't beat 20 cents each for a Christmas stocking stuffer! If you give a sugary treat, be sure to add a cute character toothbrush (around $3) and a travel-size tube of sparkly toothpaste. Crayons, toy cars, and stickers all cost less than a few bucks each, and kids love them. A favorite toy, such as Thomas the Train, Little Pet Shop or a Polly Pocket doll (around $3.99-$5.99 each) peaking out of the top of the stocking will get little ones really excited.

Teens and tweens will get a kick out of finding a package of freeze-dried Alien Ice Cream ($2.99, Perpetual Kid) in their Christmas stockings. Nail polish and make-up are inexpensive Christmas stocking stuffers girls will love. An I-tunes gift card, ear buds, or a set of HDMX portable speakers can be purchased for around $10, and will perfectly round out that must-have MP3 player.

Cell phones are another hot item on teen wish lists. Keep an eye out for pay-as-you-go mobile phones on sale during the holiday season for under $10 (check Virgin Mobile or Tracfone). They're perfect Christmas stocking stuffers for dads, too. Dads will also appreciate small tools or mini Mag-lights, stuffed in their stockings. And don't forget--even Dad has a sweet tooth.

For mom, you can't go wrong with pampering products, such as a mini body butter($10) from The Body Shop, or aromatherapy shower gels ($3.50) from Bath & Body Works. A comfy pair of fuzzy slipper socks, for around $6, will keep her toosies toasty all winter long. A digital photo keychain makes a great Christmas stocking stuffer, too. They come in a variety of colors and can be found at most major retailers under $15.

If you're stumped for stocking stuffer ideas or on a really tight budget, head over to your local dollar store or check out Target's Dollar Spot. You'll be amazed what you can find there--and can probably stuff a Christmas stocking for under $10.
