Cheap Valentine's Day Gift Idea #1
Make cookies. Cookies are a wonderful sweet treat and make the perfect Valentine's Day gift. A box or bag of cookie mix is very inexpensive, and most only call for oil, water, and eggs to be added. A batch of cookies provides Valentine's Day gifts for quite a few people. This is a good idea for children's school parties.
Add sprinkles or colored icing for an extra touch. If you're creative, you can make the cookies heart shaped. Once the cookies are done, put them in little red bags or wrap them in colorful paper. This will make it feel more like a present to the recipient.
Cheap Valentine's Day Gift Idea #2
Artificial flowers are a nice cheap Valentine's Day gift idea. Yes, they aren't real, but some of the artificial flowers out today are really pretty. Craft stores and mass merchandise stores carry artificial flowers. Tie a colorful ribbon around the stems to make the gift more festive. Pick colors that go with the décor of your recipient's house and they will be even more appreciated.
Cheap Valentine's Day Gift Idea #3
Lockets or other small pendant necklaces are nice Valentine's Day gifts. Department stores have jewelry sections with some nice items for lower prices than jewelry stores. Bracelets are an option that will work for gifts for a guy in this line. While they may not be designer items, the jewelry pieces will look nice and show that you cared.
Most stores will place the item purchased in a box that can be tied with ribbon or wrapped for an added Valentine's Day touch. Be sure to check with the store, because some offer complimentary wrapping.
All of these gifts will show the object of your affection that you were thinking about them on Valentine's Day. They are small tokens of the love you feel. Practical, cheap Valentine's Day gifts don't have to be ugly or gaudy. Look around and you will find something that strikes your fancy. Make the most of the money you do have this Valentine's Day.

Post a CommentWith the sad state of the economy, I made a free Valentine's day card at http://corticalcafe.com/printmaker/card_intro.php . Now that's cheap! It only cost the paper I printed it on, but since it has my heart and mind in it (and no trace of anyone else), it will be priceless to my sweetie!
