Do want new clothes but maybe don't have the money to go on a shopping spree right now? There are ways that you can update your old wardrobe and make your old clothes look new. That way you can have new stuff without really having to spend a lot on money. The key to updating your old wardrobe is to know how to accessorize it to make it appear new and different. Here are some ways that you can do that.

1. Scarves. Scarves are wonderful accessories because there are so many ways that you can wear them. You can use a scarf as a belt on an old pair of jeans to make them look different. You can wear them in many different styles around your neck, all of which portray a different style. Just throw on a scarf with a blouse or dress and instantly you've transformed your whole outfit.

2. Layers. Layering different shirts is very in right now. Plus, it's a great way to get many uses out of just a few shirts because there are so many different ways you can do this. You can wear each shirt by itself or you can layer a different combination of them. For instance, you may have a spaghetti strap or tank top and a button up shirt that you could wear open on top of one of them or buttoned halfway up. In addition, coats and blazers work great for this as well. A nice coat or blazer on top of an old blouse can give you a whole new outfit.

3. Jewelry. Some beads, chain jewelry, earrings, or any other kind of jewelry can give your outfit a different look instantly. They'll add a pop to your look without you having to even buy anything new. Plus, you can mix up your combinations every time you wear it. You can wear different pieces every time to make it appear new and different each time.

Those are three of the most effective ways to accessorizing your wardrobe and making it appear new and fresh. In fact, those are the three key rules to accessorizing. Combinations are essential to accessorizing. Plus, there are so many different ones that you can employ to achieve something new every time. So if you don't have the money to go shopping and buy some new outfits, just accessorize your old ones with scarves, layers, or jewelry. In addition, there are many other things you can accessorize with as well. Those are just my favorite three.
