-Paper lanterns. Paper lanterns are very summery and outdoorsy. You can get that summer barbecue mood by stringing up some paper lanterns in your sunroom. You can string them from one wall to another or hang them from the ceiling, whichever you prefer. These are very inexpensive and can be found in many stores. I found mine at Dollar Tree, actually. You can buy about ten of them in a variety of colors, and they only operate off of batteries. I would recommend investing in some rechargeable batteries. That way, you don't have to keep re-purchasing batteries, but rather just recharge them instead.
-Lights. You can string up lights around the corners of your room and plug them in at night, and this sets a lovely setting for a nighttime dinner or party. You can get colored or white lights, whichever you prefer. Again, you can get these at a simple discount store, such as Family Dollar. You can also purchase a multi-head lamp with colored shades or white shades. This also adds some extra light and decoration to your sunroom. You can get one of these lamps at Wal-Mart or Target.
-Hanging plants. You can also hang some plants or flowers up in your sunroom. These will instantly give your room some decorations without an expensive price. You can use plants that don't require much care either, such as philodendrons and spider plants. They only require a little bit of water every week or two. As far as flowers go, just make sure you place them in a position where they receive plenty of sun. Good sunroom flowers are impatience and others like them. You can get these plants at Wal-Mart, Lowe's, plant nurseries, or even your yard.
These are three inexpensive ways to decorate your sunroom. That way you have a nice place to sit outside in the summer without being attacked by bugs or the elements. Plus, it won't cost you a fortune.
