More often than not, we don't realize that odors accumulate by certain objects inside our home. When I say objects, what I mean is garbage, dust from clutter or even pets. There are a few good ways you can start freshening up your home in no time. In this article, we will take a look at some of the ways you can freshen up your home to get rid of those every day odors that come along with simple living.

Kitchens may be one of the areas in our home that buildup certain odors. For a quick fix on odor in that area, what we can do is mop our kitchen floors with Pine Sol diluted in water. Instantaneously, you'll smell the difference. Another part of the kitchen we could freshen up would be the kitchen sink. For this, cutting a lemon in half and letting it go into garbage disposal while the water running from the faucet on low could also help in deodorizing your kitchen sink. And lastly, another object that accumulates odor is our trash cans or garbage cans. Spraying disinfectants between changes and using odor control trash bags would definitely help. With these steps, our kitchen area would be freshened up immediately.

Now of course, the most important area in our home would be the living room. For those who have a carpeted living room, what you can do is purchase a deodorizing powder that you can disperse all over the carpet. After 30 minutes of the powder being on the floor, you can vacuum your carpet, leaving it with the fresh scent the powder leaves behind. In case you don't have a carpeted living room, you may purchase scented cleansers suitable for your living room flooring. This way, when visitors do come, you'll have that comfortable feel because of the fresh scents of your living room.

For bathrooms and bedrooms, we can use reed diffusers, and remembering to re-dip reeds in oil will help the scents disintegrate. Also, using air fresheners that rids your home from bacteria and at the same time has a good smell can be very beneficial as well.

Using odor eliminators like Febreeze sprays, using candles of preferred aromas and opening your windows for a few hours, especially after it rains, can help in achieving that wonderful whiff you always want to come home to.
