Boy, you seem to live in a bubble! I fill up my Jeep Liberty's 16 gallon tank ($65.) once a month because the public transportation in L.A. is actually pretty good. Most of the time, I manage to get around town using the Metro and the Metrolink. I've gotten to the point where I prefer the Metro to driving and only drive when I have to. My car may not be a hybrid, but I am.
