Looking for some fun Golfing in Durham, North Carolina? You have come to the right place. Many people think of the Durham Bulls when it comes to sports in Durham. But there are several very nice Golf Courses in the area.

CROASDAILE COUNTRY CLUB

The Golf Course was originally designed in 1966 by George Cobb, and redesigned in 2002 by John Lafoy. Mr. Lafoy also helped design the course at Augusta. Croasdaile is an 18 hole course with a par of 52. It covers 7,068 yards. They also offer Tennis, Swimming and Dining. Visitors do need a member to sponsor them to be able to play.

CROSSINGS GOLF CLUB

They have a 12 hole course with 4 sets of tees, designed by Ron Garl. The Cornflake and Beach Bunkers make the course different than others in the area. The back nine has water on 7 of the 9 holes.

DUKE UNIVERSITY GOLF CLUB

The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones and redesigned by his son Rees Jones. The course also includes a fine Inn for lodging. You can also set up meetings and conferences there.

HILLANDALE GOLF COURSE

This is a public course designed in 1911 by Donald Ross. It is a par 71 course on 6,339 yards of land. This is the oldest course in the Durham area. It's the home to the famous Hillandale Golf Shop which has been voted best in American in numerous years. Their site links to both an Ebay Store and an online golf shop.

LAKESHORE GOLF CLUB

Designed in 1962 by J.M. Utley Sr. and J.M. Utley Jr. It is a 18 hole, par 71 public course on 5,719 yards. They have a 30 acre lake which involves 8 holes of the course. They also offer a snack bar and a pro shop. It is located in the famed Research Triangle Park.

UMSTREAD PINES GOLF AND SWIM AT WILLOWHAVEN

18 hole par 71 course on 6,341 yards, designed in 1958 by George W. Cobb. This is a public course played on Bermuda Grass. They offer a 12 tees driving range and 18 regulation holes.

TREYBURN COUNTRY CLUB

Treyburn offers a par- 72 18 hole course on 7,070 yards that was once named best new course by Golf Magazine. It was designed in 1988 by Tom Fazio. They also offer swimming and tennis, as well as a cabana and a croquet court, and of course a golf shop.
