Checking in on My Most Un-Favorite Bachelorette Ali

Betty Alexander
I knew it would happen. I knew I'd get hooked. I'm such a hopeless romantic, I couldn't help it. I even wrote an entire article called " Why I'm Disappointed That Ali Fedotowsky Is The Next Bachelorette. I wasn't even sure if I was going to watch The Bachelorette this season. But I took that first peek, and that was it. I still don't like Ali very much. I still think her sweet and coy nature is all an act, ever since we saw her nasty evil side during her time on Bachelor Jake's journey for love. But I'll be honest. She is probably the prettiest Bachelorette they've ever had with her long gorgeous blonde hair and yellow outfits. I can see why the guys are falling all over themselves just to be near her. So given all that, the journey for the love of Ali's life has begun. Let's see what's been going on.....

I just watched the third episode, and things are already getting complicated, as well as hot and heavy. From the very beginning, there was one guy who I thought was far and away the most beautiful of them all. And that guy was Justin. At this point in time, not a single other guy comes close in the looks department, at least in my own humble opinion. But to see how things are unfolding, he is obviously the Vienna of this series and I think that's so unfair.

We've all heard rumors that Justin will turn out to have two girlfriends back home and that he's not here for the right reasons. I hope that's not true. His huge leap of faith to walk a few miles on crutches to see Ali on this last episode, was the best move he could have made. Now that the other guys found out about it and are all mad, it's just because they didn't think of it first and do the same thing. Jealousy is running rampant.

And let's backtrack a bit. Just how did the guys find out that Justin walked all the way to where Ali is staying? Oh that's right, Ali let the cat out of the bag by telling Roberto. And once she knew Roberto didn't know a thing about it, she should have kept quiet. But what did our sweet Bachelorette Ali do? With that conniving little sparkle in her eye, she loved telling Roberto that she was really impressed with what Justin did and that it really showed her something. Talk about striking a match to a pile of kindling, Ali.

Surprise surprise. All the guys proceeded to gang up on Justin. Honestly, what he did was a grand gesture, and us women love grand gestures. Just because the other guys all decided to stay put in the air conditioned mansion and/or the pool while Justin hobbled all the way to Ali's, doesn't make him a bad guy. It makes him a determined guy, and again, women love determined guys. It means he'll go the extra mile for her. So Ty especially, and all the other sour grapes guys, can go jump in a lake. Their hatred for Justin makes them look all the more pathetic.

One observation I have about Ali is that the girl loves to kiss, doesn't she? I'll bet she wrote the scripts for all those little scenes for the video they were in. Hey it was only acting, right? Except we noticed how she and Kirk didn't stop kissing after the director yelled "Cut!". And Kirk took full advantage of that and made his moves on Ali in the hot tub later on, which she willingly accepted. Poor Frank is having a difficult time with all this. He really thought his swell one-on-one date with Ali cinched the deal. He's so naive. And what was with the weatherman Jonathan? He seemed to flub his little acting scene so bad, that I was shocked Ali kept him around tonight at the rose ceremony.

I believe the only true competition Justin has is Roberto and perhaps Kirk. The rest of them can just take the next train out of town and go back to their lives. At least that's how I see it.

I will admit that Ali has grown on me just a smidge. I didn't like her treatment of Vienna on Bachelor Jake's series. But now that she's the Bachelorette, she really seems as if she's trying her best to assess these guys and find someone she's crazy about and who she can trust. As much as I didn't like her in the beginning, and even now I get annoyed with her sometimes, I'm starting to root for her, which I wasn't sure if I was going to ever be able to do.

Ali, if you're listening, go for the guy who makes your heart beat faster, but also make sure he's a good guy for the long run. Great physical chemistry is important, but so is longevity and so is integrity in a man. We'll be watching and giving you our not-asked-for advice just the same. I hope you get your happy ending.

    Good reporting.

I think Roberto will win, if not it will be Chris L. Justin's scandal is coming up, and he has 2 girlfriends at home, I think he is faking the whole ordeal with his foot.

I don't know, I get a bad vibe from Justin for some reason, and not because the guys don't like him. I think he's too full of himself. He also was a little too happy that she sent Hunter home after the one-on-one. My favorites right now are Chris L. and Roberto. I haven't seen all of the episodes though. I'm not as into this season.

Michele, I heard that rumor too, as well as some others. But I think Ali is going to choose somebody. She seems to be determined, so we'll see.

Betty, Just last night - another AC Contributor wrote a "Spoiler" article and said "Ali doesn't choose anyone" - do you believe it?! I'm not so sure. Cheers :)
