Bacon Cheddar Cheese Ball
Mix 16 ounces of softened Cream cheese and 8 ounces of grated mild Cheddar cheese together in a bowl. Mince 1 clove of garlic and add to mixture. Next add 3 tablespoons of fresh parsley. Add ΒΌ cup chopped green onion. Cook 6 slices of bacon , crumble, and add to bowl. Mix everything together and make into a ball. Roll in finely chopped pecans or walnuts. Cover with plastic and put in refrigerator to chill for at least two hours.
Sharp Cheddar Cheese Ball
Mix 8 ounces of softened Cream cheese and 8 ounces of grated sharp Cheddar cheese together in a bowl. I always use mild instead of sharp. Next, add 2 teaspoons of grated onion, 2 teaspoons of finely minced garlic, and 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce to bowl and mix together well. I bought a jar of minced chopped garlic that I always keep in my refrigerator. It tastes really good and is handy to have around. Form the mixture into a ball and roll in chopped pecans. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate overnight. Serve the cheese ball on a large platter with assorted crackers.
Ranch Cheddar Cheese Ball
Mix an 8 ounce package of softened Cream Cheese and an 8 ounce package of shredded mild Cheddar cheese together in a bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of ranch dip mix. Then, add 2 teaspoons of chopped chives or green onions to bowl and mix everything together. Form into a ball and wrap in plastic. Roll in chopped pecans. Chill in refrigerator. Serve with assorted crackers.
Be sure to make a Cheddar Cheese ball as an appetizer for your next party. Your guests will be sure to enjoy it.

Post a CommentYou know, I love cheese, and I've had some cheese balls for gifts before, but I've never made one. I might just want to try making one for a change! I featured your article on my recipe blog today for appetizers. You can see it here: http://michysrecipes.blogspot.com/2008/09/appetizers-snacks-party-foods.html. Great article! Hopefully more people will come and learn how to make a cheeseball appetizer, because they aren't cheap to buy!
These sound so delish, especially the bacon cheeseball. I love to snack on cheese and crackers.
