Cheddar's Restaurant in Beaumont, Texas

I recently ate at a restaurant in Beaumont, Texas that has made my personal top 5-best-restaurants-ever-list. Cheddar's Restaurant is a chain/franchise restaurant, but this fact does not make the eatery any less satisfying.

Cheddar's Restaurant combines great food, great prices and great services to create a wonderful dining experience. The building itself is very clean and inviting. The décor is a combination of dark woods, marble, green plants, open skylights and an attractive fish tank making up an entire wall. The staff is dressed in black pants and dark color-coordinated shirts to compliment each other. They all give the impression of being very professional. Drink orders are taken immediately, appetizers are suggested and you are made to feel as though you are the only customer your waiter/waitress is waiting on.

A quick glance at the menu will make anyone look twice. You will find everything from a country fried steak, ribeyes and beer battered fried shrimp to grilled tilapia with mango salsa and fresh cold water salmon. There is something for everyone at Cheddar's Restaurant. The menu ranges from over ten great appetizer choices, great salads, soups, a variety of chicken dishes, seafood, steaks, burgers, sandwiches, ribs and much more. The side items consist of over ten great choices. Even the children's menu is full of variety. It contains grilled cheese, chicken tenders, grilled chicken strips, junior burger and a bowl of pasta. The sides include fries or steamed vegetables.

The dessert menu is also full of delicious choices. Key lime pie, apple pie, hot fudge cake sundae, mud pie and the ever famous cookie monster Wow Dessert. This dessert consists of a homemade chocolate chip cooked in a skillet. It is topped with vanilla ice cream, homemade hot fudge, whipped cream, chopped nuts and a cherry. The entire thing is freshly baked when you order. If that doesn't get your mouth watering nothing will.

The absolute best thing about all of these great dishes (besides the taste) is the prices. The prices that you pay at Cheddar's are lower than any other restaurant in the same class, but what makes the prices even better are the sizes of the portions. When your meal is brought to your table, you will be surprised at the amount of food on the dish. The portions are almost double of those at similar restaurants, with lower prices and better taste. What else could you ask for?
