I recently had the privilege of enjoying a mini-vacation myself as I visited the Dunwoody location of Cheeseburger in Paradise. As soon as you see the fun bright colors on the building you know you're in for a treat.
The servers are dressed in lovely island attire and make you feel as though you are on your way to a lovely island retreat. From the island inspired décor to the friendly smiles, it's an environment that shouts, "Come on in and relax "!
As I studied the menu, I became instantly overwhelmed at how much wonderful got eats there were to choose from. They have a lovely Island Chef Salad that boast of roasted chicken, candied almonds, golden raisins, pineapple and coconut in a fresh salad mix tossed in our Coconut Curry dressing. Then there are the wings that are simply delicious and you can choose from spicy mango, jerk, teriyaki and regular.
That is just the beginning of this wonderful journey in island delight! Not only can you choose from the signature dishes, Cheeseburger in Paradise offers what's called a gluten-free menu which includes soups and salads, Calypso Chicken Salad, Costa Rican Steak Salad and Baja Burger just to name a few.
I had to make a decision, so I went for the spicy mango wings and I was not disappointed. They were seasoned well with wonderfully sweet mango sauce with just the slightest hint of heat. The other dishes served at my table were mahi mahi and Island Quesadilla and again, I was very pleasured with the flavor and freshness of the dishes.
Once you indulged yourself in lunch or dinner, you have to try one of their signature desserts which include Chocolate Nachos, Cocoa Rica Cake, Jamaican Apple Crisp and Copa Banana which is fresh bananas, strawberries, toasted coconut, whipped cream, Nilla wafers and banana pudding layered in their signature martini glass. Can you say YUM!
Bottom line: Excellent food for an excellent price! You can enjoy a wonderful lunch for less than $8.00 and dinner for less than $15.00. Check out your local listening for a Cheeseburger in Paradise nearest you or stop by the Dunwoody location at: 1230 Ashford Crossing, Atlanta, GA 30346, Phone: 770-730-0782.
