Cheesy Double Beef Burrito from Taco Bell Food Review

Part of the Why Pay More Value Menu at Taco Bell

Julie Boehlke
The Cheesy Double Beef Burrito from Taco Bell is just one of the items from the 89 cent value menu. Taco Bell has come out with the "Why Pay More" value menu offering low cost menu items. All of the items are between 79 and 99 cents-making them affordable and convenient.

Here are a few reasons as to why the Cheesy Double Beef Burrito from Taco Bell is more than just a good value for the money.

Taste- The first thing about the Cheesy Double Beef Burrito is the taste. Wrapped in a warm tortilla shell (burrito style), the first thing that you taste is the seasoned beef. The beef is taco flavored but not overpowering. The next bite is a combination of cheesy rice that is mild in flavor and compliments the beef nicely. The final layer in the burrito is a mild nacho cheese sauce that melts in the mouth and smooths out the taste of the burrito.

Convenience- What makes the Cheesy Double Beef Burrito a great choice is the convenience. Not only does it take just a moment to grab the item at the drive-thru, it is also easy to eat. The burrito can be easily unwrapped at one end to avoid spillage-making it mess-free while driving and munching on the go! The Cheesy Double Beef Burrito doesn't get soggy or lose flavor after it has been sitting for a period of time, unlike many fast food items.

Cost- The cost of the Cheesy Double Beef Burritos is surprisingly inexpensive-at 89 cents it is perfect for those trying to eat cheap. With the troubled economy and lack of cash flow-you may be looking to eat lunch affordably while not sacrificing taste. You get a lot of food for your money. Not only is the Cheesy Double Beef Burrito filling-it satisfies even the largest appetite. At other fast food joints, you can spend up to $5.00 or $6.00 for a single satisfying meal-at Taco Bell one can eat for half that price.

Availability- The Taco Bell drive-thru is typically open past 1 am in most parts of the U.S.. The early morning hours is when many people crave something cheesy, crunchy, melty and grilled-Taco Bell is the perfect answer. Most Restaurant locations open up at 10:30AM so you can satisfy your Mexican food cravings at any time of the day.

Food Pairings- The Cheesy Double Beef Burrito is great by itself or paired up with an array of other items off of the Taco Bell value menu. The Triple Layer Nacho is a great companion to the Cheesy Double Beef Burrito. The Nacho offers a crunchy and cheesy accompaniment to the burrito. At only 99 cents-it's makes a full meal. A strawberry Fruitista is a great drink for cooling off the mouth after eating the burrito and nachos.

With the Cheesy Double Beef Burrito from Taco Bell, you will get the most for your hard earned money without sacrificing taste and amount of food. This item, combined with others from the "Why Pay More" value menu offers a break for those facing the financial crunch while leaving that spare change for other everyday necessities.

One of my favorite foods was the burrito supreme at Taco Bell. I don't get them often since Mike gets Taco belly from them. The last time was a disappointment. I found only 1 shredded piece of lettuce on it. I'll have to try this one. Maybe it will be better.

The cheesy double beef burrito is an excellent value for .89. IF you can find it for .89. Every Taco Bell I've visited in the past month had it for 1.59.

I love taco bell...but Mike hates it. We do a foot long $5 subway for two of us.
