The wedding ceremony occurred in Rhinebeck, New York. It took place at a heavily wooded estate. And the lucky couple had a perfect day for the wedding. The weather on the East Coast was sunny, cool, and clear skies prevailed.
The Daily Mail reports that President Obama had offered the Clintons use of the White House to hold the wedding there. However, the Clintons declined and settled on the location in New York State.
Chelsea Clinton Wore a Vera Wang Wedding Gown
Chelsea wore a beautiful Vera Wang strapless gown with silver trim at the waist of the dress. The gown was full and quite poufy below the waist. She looked very glamorous and elegant in her wedding gown. She had a wonderful glow and looked like a movie star with a lot more makeup on than normally.
She carried a simple bouquet of white flowers with a white ribbon tied around the stems of the flowers. Chelsea wore her hair in an upsweep and had a dramatic veil off the back of her hair.
Chelsea has an exquisite fashion style, which is more than can be said for Hillary Clinton. I found the gown Hillary wore last night and the one she chose for the wedding to be totally hideous. They looked much too matronly for her.
Chelsea & Marc: Friends to Spouses
Chelsea and Marc were friends for years before they started dating. They also attended Stanford University together. The Huffington Post reports that they dated for a total of four years before becoming engaged to marry.
No word yet on whether Chelsea will change her last name. They lived together for a few years before marriage, so Chelsea is not totally traditional. It will be interesting to see if she takes on Marc's name and in what religion they raise any future children.

Post a CommentI just hope they live happily ever after!
so glad they kept the hype level down so she could have a nice wedding (normal)
I wish them well - an hopefully (in regard to your last line) they will choose what more and more parents are doing - deciding not to afflict their children with religion at all...
She's popular person.
Bet they'll be happy when all the hoopla is over!
The photo of dad and bride in the Times is stunning!
The traffic across the River was a nightmare - my girlfriend tried to drive over (it's not far from us, we often go to Rhinebeck - lovely city! They have a great Rhinebeck Fair there!) Anyway, I'll be staying clear of the area until next week - when all is said and done! cheers :) It was a lovely day for a wedding in the Hudson Valley :)
Great report!
