Chelsea Handler Hosting 2010 VMA's for MTV

Chelsea Handler will host the 2010 VMA's in September. Having Chelsea Handler host the 2010 VMA's could bring a lot of flavor to the show, and should definitely prove to be quite a funny endeavor. Handler hosts her own talk show on E! right now, and it was through her show that she made the announcement on Wednesday night. One thing is for sure: Kanye West had better watch out, because a comedian playing host means that he is definitely going to have some jokes made at his expense. Rest assured that he won't be the only musician that finds Handler tossing barbs in his direction.

Handler hasn't been the host of a major awards show like this before, so she is wading into new territory by agreeing to do this. There are certainly going to be those people who question the decision of MTV to bring in Handler as the host of the 2010 Video Music Awards, but it's entirely possible that they just don't get her type of humor. Those fans who have enjoyed her show on E! these past few years know how she can be extremely funny, though, and she has written several books that have taken that humor to a new level.

The 2010 VMA's will take place on Sept. 12, and there is plenty of time to do the planning necessary to make her look really good. It also gives her, and her staff of writers on the show, plenty of time to do the research necessary to come up with some really great material. The music industry is always full of great material for humor, and I am quite sure that Handler will be able to find some. In addition to bringing up what took place last year between West and Taylor Swift, she will assuredly poke fun at the celebrity of Justin Bieber as well.

Some of the presenters scheduled to attend the 2010 VMA's are Ashley Greene and Ke$ha, but the most notable attractions will be those choosing to perform. West will take to the stage, as well as Drake, Florence and the Machine, and Justin Bieber. Justin alone should bring quite a few viewers to the telecast, but the attention of the show will focus a lot on the appearance of Kanye West. The top nominees this year are Eminem and Lady Gaga, and they will both be featured in quite a few categories as the night progresses.

I find her offensive, describing Hispanics as Mexicans. She seems to tell a lot ot jokes about people of color and seems to make a lot of sttements in her monologues that reinforce a lot of stereotypes. Have other people noticed this?

what does this bimbo know about music?? her only claim to fame is what??? Her jealous rants about celebs are as immature and insecure as her own fading star....I won't watch it.
