The revelation of the Chelsea Handler Playboy cover came last night on the Jay Leno Show, where she was serving as the first guest of the night. After a short discussion with Jay about upcoming projects and what she has been doing, he broached the subject of Playboy Magazine, and that he knew she was doing an upcoming issue. Handler seemed a bit surprised that Leno knew about this, and to her dismay Leno revealed that he also had caleld Hugh Hefner and attained a copy of the cover. She didn't believe him at first, but quickly realized that she was incorrect when Leno asked for the cover to be lowered from the rafters.

The Jay Leno Show crowd applauded as an enormous blow-up photograph of Chelsea Handler was lowered from the ceiling, depicting her upcoming cover on Playboy Magazine. It quickly became obvious that Handler had nothing to be ashamed of, because the photo looked great. She joked that it all had to do with air-brushing that had been done on the photograph, but the comedian looked really good. It's yet another bold move by the comedian that has been making a living off of stand-up appearances and her stint hosting a show on the E! channel.

Right now Cheslea Handler is the host of Chelsea Lately, which has been airing since 2007 on E!. She has done almost 200 epidoes of the show, which airs on weeknights at 11:00 P.M. and covers any topic that makes it into the supermarket magazines. This ranges from reality shows to whatever Jessica Simpson or Britney Spears has been doing lately, and she jokes around with a pannel of three other comedians that doubles as writer's for her show. When she isn't doing skits to ellicite laughs from the live studio audience, she is interviewing a guest that always ends up being topical for the moment. The choice by Chelsea Handler to do the cover of Playboy Magazine gets her name out there once again, and shows that this comedian is willing to do anything to generate a little buzz.
