Chemical Pneumonia is when there is swelling and irritation of the lungs that is usually caused by breathing into your lungs , fumes from some chemicals. Chemicals that are in mention are, bug sprays, pool cleaners, or gasoline, and some mixing of household cleaners can be a factor as well.
Inhaling any type of irritating fumes can give you pneumonia, if you have breathed them in. It can make you vomit as well. Some signs that you might have this is,coughing,or trouble breathing. You might feel or be choking, have fast breathes or feel an urge to gag. There might be a fast pulse, or maybe even an upset stomach. You can also experience vomiting with diarrhea, or possibly have a convulsion. Any fatigue, dizziness or difficulty in walking can become serious if left unattended to.
For care in this problem you should seek out professional help. Maybe an emergency room, or your local doctor can assist you. Please do not hesitate to get help. Immediately get out into the outdoors, and get where there is plenty of fresh air. If you cannot catch your breathe, breathe short, long, frequent breathes in a paper bag, or paper sandwich bag. If you do not have one, use a dish towel or some form of cloth.
When I experienced this I contracted bronchitis. I was in trouble breathing and I just did not realize how serious it could have become. I was cleaning my tub, and I mixed Pinesol with Mr.Clean, along with Ajax, and I created a massive smothering smell. I hacked and coughed, and later after retrieving my breath, I had to be put on antibiotics. First though I had breathing tests and treatments in the ER(Emergency Room). The reasons I went was to get some relief, and in addition to that I learned a lesson about mixing cleaning supplies.
Please be careful around strong fumes, and get help quick if you have any difficulty getting your breathe.
