Chemotherapy: More Deadly Than Cancer?

According to Gerald Dermer, the author of "The Immortal Cell", the invention of chemotherapy drugs was directly inspired by the use of deadly mustard gas during the second world war. Even moderate exposure to mustard gas, also known as "sulphur mustard", can be fatal; it's a potent irritant that causes blistering. Irreversible damage to the skin, eyes, respiratory tract and DNA is the result of exposure to this treacherous substance (The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).
