Cheney Indicted on Charges of Organized Criminal Activity

Dick Cheney has been indicted-finally. The man, who has been the shadow president for eight years, might actually get what's coming to him (aside from the millions of dollars promised to him from companies he cut backroom deals with). Then again, I have little faith. Cheney is a crook, a liar, a rotten piece of meat, and so is Alberto Gonzales, who has been indicted as well. Their kind always seem to escape the vice grip grasp of our system, mainly because they have warped it from the inside out, preparing for the day a journalist finds the dirt that has been swept under the carpet.

What have they been charged with you ask? For Cheney, it's engaging in organized criminal activity due to his investment in the Vanguard Group, who is financially linked to the private prison companies that control our federal detention centers. Cheney is also charged with "misdemeanor assaults" as a result of his ties to the prison industry. Gonzales is charged with abusing his power to stop an investigation into the corruption of certain privately-owned prisons.

Surely, nobody is surprised by this. Cheney has used the executive office to make his friends rich, and later, once he's free from all the legal restrictions that come with the vice presidency, Cheney will get his cut for pulling the strings. It's brilliant, really. Evil and despicable as well, but Cheney is a bitter crank, who hates those who he cannot benefit from. He's worse than scum: he's rust. The man corrodes and destroys. Scum can be cleaned up, but rust ruins the integrity and strength of metal. Cheney has certainly done as much to our country, possibly more.

As for Gonzales, he's the kind of person who would sniff Cheney's underwear if given the chance. Gonzales has a stalker-like admiration for the guy. After all, he sold his soul to be part of Cheney's crew, failing to realize he was merely being used-nothing more than a measly pawn sacrificed to save the king.

For some peculiar reason I see the charges being thrown out. Call me Nostradamus, but if death itself can't take Cheney down then I don't see how a south Texas prosecutor could. Anyway, let's Obama it. Let's hope justice is served. Hell, even if Cheney has done nothing wrong in this instance, the man is certainly guilty of some other heinous act of corruption and abuse of power. And if Cheney is convicted, him and Ted Stevens can bunk up in whatever Sandals prison they are sent too. As for Gonzales, he'll be going to San Quentin. Cheney likes to ensure his pawns don't live long enough to strike a plea bargain in exchange for all the juicy details of greed, corruption, and deceit in D.C.

It might get taken down quickly since it was a buried AP news story. Think about that. This story isn't even front page material. Nope, that was reserved for an article giving tips to help ladies pick up guys. I didn't know women had a problem doing that. In fact, I'm pretty sure it requires two things: 1) sitting at a bar 2) cleavage. Not only will a girl not have to do the picking up, but she'll drink for free!
