Cher, the 62 year old singer and actress, is reportedly in talks with Christopher Nolan to play Catwoman in the next Batman movie. Catwoman has, traditionally, been a slinky and agile. I mean, she has to be, she's a cat burglar. Apparently, she's going to be the "opposite" of the Catwoman portrayed by Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry. While I have no problem with some slight creative liberties with the Batman villains that Nolan has been taking, with extremely positive results, is this too much? Can Catwoman be imagined as anything other than the feisty, backflipping, and acrobatic? Is she turning in her claws for an AARP card?
