The first single off of The Truth is Killa featuring Southern rap star Yung Joc. The track was produced by Don Vito and written by the members of the group. The single is very catchy and features a simplistic beat with a very strong bridge. Yung Joc drops two solid verses on the track which just add to it.
The second single is Amnesia. The track is a much slower and mellower affair than the first single. The song sounds vaguely similar to *N Sync's gone. The track has that same acoustic guitar vibe. The song is fairly catchy and well delivered.
I Ain't Trippin' seems to fill a void left with Destiny's Child on songs like Soldier. The song features a strong and catchy beat however the rest of the song is just lacking.
Framed Out seems like it was created more for a rapper than a female R&B vocal quartet. The beat is much harder than you would expect; however the song is fairly solid and one of the better tracks on the album.
Superstar is a mid-tempo ballad which is also fairly solid. The song lets the members of Cherish show off their vocal ability. The harmonies found on the track are definitely very solid and well produced.
Only One might be the strongest track on the album. The song will definitely appeal to the female marketplace and features a strong beat and strong writing on the track.
Love Sick is an interesting sounding track. As soon as you first listen to the track you are forced to take notice as it is not the average R&B track.
Notice is another strong track on the album. The song features solid production and fairly solid writing. The song also stands out because it features a very staccato chord arrangement.
One of the main problems with The Truth is the duration of the album. The album lasts just under 40 minutes and features only eleven tracks. The album delivers a fine mix of ballads and up-tempo club tracks. The Truth gets 7.5 out of 10. If you are a fan of Cherish make sure you pick up The Truth when it is available in stores on May 13.
