Cherry Blossom

Susan Elliott
Born of another
half a world away.
You, my dear, are
as dear to me as
any child born of my flesh.

You once said, you see
longing in my eyes -and
it's true. While we are
now apart, I
yearn for you to take your
place in our picture book.

Without you life is
a little quieter. Life is
a little less joyous. Colors
are a little more faded.

I miss you
more than I could
say, and I long for the day
we are reunited.

This is a very touching poem Suze. Great job, and please don't ever stop writing! Your God given talent is a joy to take in.

One of your most moving poems, Susan. How I feel about my Mother, really, who has been in a nursing home for the last few months.
