This is by far one of my families favorite desserts for the Holidays and It is one that I made up and only I cam make for holiday get together. I call it Cherry Pineapple Yum. There are similar recipes out there now but I never used a recipe when throwing this together.

2 14oz cans of cherry pie filling

2 14oz cans of diced pineapple

1 package of cream cheese

2 large containers of cool whip

1 stick of melted butter

4 cups of graham cracker crumbs

1/2 cup of chopped pecans

In a medium bowl mix the 2 cups of the crumbs and the butter together until crumbs are moist. In a large round casserole dish add the crumbs and mash around the bottom of the dish until evenly spread. In another bowl mix all of the cool whip (except one cup) with the cream cheese and blend together until smooth. In the casserole dish add an even layer of cherries followed by a thin layer of cream cheese mixture and then crumble a thin layer of the dry crumbs over the cream cheese. Next add a layer of the pineapple and follow with a thin layer of cream cheese and a thin layer of dry crumbs. Repeat with remaining cherries, thin layer of cream cheese and crumbs and then remaining pineapple, remaining cream cheese mixture and dry crumbs. Last add 1 cup of the cool whip and spread over top and add chopped pecans. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours,( Best if refrigerated over night) and then serve!
