Chet Edwards for Obama's Running Mate

Chet Edwards, who is also a Texas Democratic representative, has been said to have had his background checked by Barack Obama. This has added a lot of buzz to his name. Many have been waiting impatiently for Barack Obama to name his running mate for Vice President, but Obama has kept this a secret. Chet Edwards name keeps popping up but no one has said anything so far, as reported by the Fox News.

Want to know who else's name keeps popping up for Barack Obama's choice in vice president besides Chet Edwards? Govs. Tim Kaine out of Virginia and Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas along with Sens. Joe Biden of Delaware and Evan Bayh of Indiana. They have all made it to the short list, as reported by Fox News.

For those of you who thought that Hillary Clinton would have made it to the short list with Chet Edwards, you thought wrong. According to Politico.com, Hillary Clinton was never asked to be Obama's running mate and never received a single paper that stated otherwise. If that makes you sad that Clinton won't be joining Edwards on the short list, it may be because a lot of Clinton's voters have said that they will not be voting for Obama. The reason behind Clinton not making the short list or even being asked is still unclear but one could only let their mind linger as to why.

The Obama campaign had announced that it will be releasing the name of Obama's running mate on Saturday through text messaging. The question in mind is if anyone will believe that it is really his campaign sending the message since there has been apparently a text messaging hoax that has been sending text messages to people claiming to be someone of importance such as Hillary Clinton and stating who the new running mate is but the information isn't true.

Because of the stir with the hoax text messages many people have stirred the rumor by texting their friends and family with the information that was untrue and now everyone is saying that they tend to keep their mouth shut just in the event that the text is another hoax.

So, will Edwards make it to the spot of being Barack Obama's running mate? Time is the only patience will let us know.
