Chewable Birth Control: Femcon Fe

The New Wave in Birth Control

What is Femcon Fe? Femcon Fe is the new and improved birth control. The "Fe" in Femcon Fe is used to indicate the iron contained in the 'placebo' tablets. It's a chewable tablet that comes in a spearmint flavor. Femcon Fe is considered a very low-dose tablet because it has thirty five micrograms of estrogen contained in it. Ingredients in Femcon Fe can even help relieve menstrual cycle symptoms, such as menstrual cramps, pain and bloating. Femcon Fe is taken on the first day of your period, or on the Sunday after your period already began. It is important for you to remember to take the Femcon Fe medication at the same time every day. This is because the way the birth control works is by secreting a certain amount of hormones while it is in the body. If you take a birth control too early in the morning, and then take one too late the next day, you have just left your body unprotected during those hours where the medication was not in your body. So remember to take Femcon Fe at the same time every day.

When you're taking Femcon Fe, you can either chew it, or swallow it with water. But if you do decide to chew Femcon Fe, you will have to wash it down with an eight ounce glass of water, or some other kind of drink, to ensure that all the medication is going to be absorbed. Sometimes, significant particles of Femcon Fe may be left behind in your teeth and not readily absorbed, so this is why you need to wash the medication down with a fluid. If you don't wash the Femcon Fe down with water, the effectiveness of the medication may be compromised. It is not advised to let Femcon Fe dissolve in your mouth. After taking Femcon Fe, you don't have to worry about whether or not to brush your teeth. It should not affect the effectiveness of Femcon Fe.

Femcon Fe uses two different types of hormones. One of progestin and the other is ethinyl estradiol, which is the longer word for estrogen. These two hormones work together to make sure that your egg is not released from the ovary until your body is no longer fertile. Femcon Fe also thickens the mucus in and around your cervix, which makes it hard for the little sperms to get through. If you do miss a tablet of Femcon Fe, you do increase your chance of becoming pregnant. If you should decide to become pregnant while taking Femcon Fe, just stop taking the medication. Some women experience a delay in becoming pregnant after taking Femcon Fe. The chance of this happening is higher if you have always had irregular cycles.

Like mentioned earlier, even though the pill does protect you from pregnancy, it does not protect you from HIV, AIDS, or any other disease that is sexually transmitted. So if you're someone who has more than one partner, it is extremely advisable to put a helmet on the soldier before you jump in the battle. As withal medications, Femcon Fe has its side effects. First of all, it must be noted that if you smoke, using Femcon Fe will significantly increase your risks of having major heart and blood vessel problems. Side effects that you may experience otherwise are vomiting, nausea, tenderness in your breasts, and some spotting. The more you take Femcon Fe, the side effects will lessen. Using Femcon Fe has been attributed to blood clots, and damage to vessels, as well as gallbladder disease, liver tumors, and high blood pressure. Once you stop taking Femcon Fe, the high blood pressure will return to normal. If you have ever had cancer, heart attacks, blood clots, or stroke, you should definitely NOT be taking Femcon Fe, or any other type of hormonal birth control.

You should be careful when taking Femcon Fe with other types of medications. Femcon Fe may have negative interactions with any barbiturates, Dilantin, ampicillin, and tetracyclines. Taking Femcon Fe in a responsible way can greatly reduce your chances of becoming pregnant
