Chicago Bar & Grill

Restaurant Review Written at the Beginning of the Summer (2006)

I was very pleased with my experience at this particular restaurant. It was not too crowded when I dined here this evening. I ordered a delectable French Onion Soup. It was absolutely irresistible. The Chicken Parmesan, which I ordered for my main course, was indeed a satisfying treat. The bill came to about $15.00 which, I might add, just wasn't bad at all. This highly recommendable restaurant is easily accessible by public transportation. There isn't unfortunately a lot of spaces to park. I gazed out of the window, as I waited for my meal, and I was just totally amazed at the amount of cars on the street. It is a driver's worst nightmare. Do not drive to this restaurant if you ever would like to dine here. I strongly advise to take mass transit. The reason why I stopped here is because I was in this part of the neighborhood to mail some packages (About 8 or 9 Packages) at the UPS store on Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge, MA. There is unfortunately no UPS Store within walking distance from where I currently reside. This particular UPS store is very convenient to public transportation and I, generally, like this area (The Porter Square Area In Cambridge, MA). My younger brother used to live in the Agassiz District and he might be moving back to this area with his girlfriend at the end of the summer. I came to this restaurant once before with my other younger brother. There is both an upper level to the restaurant and the main floor. I dined on the main floor. I also had a choice to dine outside, but I chose to dine inside next to a window at a small table. I know for a fact that I ordered a pizza when I dined at this restaurant with my younger brother (some time ago). The restaurant is located in a small mall on Winter Street in Cambridge, MA. This is a bustling district. There are bikers everywhere. One just can't get away from these bikers. It seems like the bikers own the streets. People do like this restaurant. It is popular place (& it is also the happening place). The restaurant has a lot of promotions as well. The workers at this particular restaurant definitely do treat the customers right. (Service with a smile.) A pretty young waitress served me this evening. She was kind, courteous, and jovial. The waitress came to check on me to see how I was doing three times. All major credit cards are accepted. The menu has a lot of choices and it was really hard for me to decide what to order. I skipped the dessert because dessert, as I have been told, is generally not good for anyone and I'm trying to watch my calorie intake. This restaurant seems to be in and around almost every city that I can ever think of. I thought about Chicago, Illinois when I ordered my food. I thought about settling down in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois and raising a family. I love Chicago, Illinois. It is a great city (the windy city). My parents are traveling to Chicago, Illinois very soon. I wish that I could go with them, but I have to work as a bus boy at another restaurant right around the corner from where I currently reside. The restaurant where I'm currently working is a lot like this restaurant that I'm reviewing here in this article. This is my first experience working in a real restaurant. I've worked in a number of food service companies before, but never in a real restaurant as a busboy. My hope, in writing this article, is to give this restaurant more and more business. I know for a fact that I have only been to this restaurant, for the record, two times, but it really feels like I've dined in this particular eatery five or six times. I would not dine at this restaurant every single day, but once in a great while is always the best option for healthy conscious people like me. Too much of a good thing is definitely not so good at all. My favorite meal, now that I'm a totally health conscious nut, is a good salad (a good salad for dinner). I try to also exercise at least three or four times a week. There is so much we must make time to do. I enjoy educating people on healthy living. It's really important. I am being educated myself. We all have so much to learn. Learning is a part of living. I hope that I am relaying a positive message about this restaurant to whoever is reading this particular article. There are so many restaurants and, alas, there is so much competition out there. How can people ever decide what restaurant to go to if there is just so many restaurants out in the world to ever choose from? There are so many different kinds of restaurants. All restaurants are different. One person cannot possibly try every single restaurant in the world. It's important to remember that we should only dine in restaurants, regardless of what restaurant it is, once every 7 or 8 months. This is what I highly recommend. I still stand my ground (& really feel) that dining at home is far more healthier than dining at a restaurant. It also really depends on what a particular person consumes. A lot of restaurants, these days, are offering the public more and more carb choices (like never before). I have definitely learned to count carbs. I count carbs every time I shop at the supermarket. This is why I'd much rather prefer to just eat at my home than to dine out in a restaurant, but I must admit, once in a great awhile, eating at a restaurant really does have its' perks.
