Chicago, Illinois June 13, 2025

Two children, ages fifteen and sixteen years of age, found scraps of papers with the letters: Tow; rs; er; Sea, written on four separate sheets buried underneath a pile of rocks in the basement. After they began playing around with the letters, they spelled out, Sears Tower. They ran to show their parents in the other room.

Imagine their parents' shock when they saw what the children had in their hands. They told the children they had found papers from a building once considered the tallest building standing, before the massive terrorist attacks of 2010, which triggered a chain of events that wiped out two-thirds of the world's population by the year 2012.

The children wanted to know about the Sears Tower. They wanted to know what happened to it. The parents explained that back in November of 2009, the weekend a movie entitled, "2012" came out in theatres, the President of what was once known as the United States, announced that he was releasing prisoners from a prison in Cuba, responsible for conspiring to kill over 3,000 Americans on September 11, 2001, back into the US to stand trial. The children wanted to know why the president would do that, but their parents did not know why.

They told the children that before the trials began, fancy rich defense lawyers convinced the judge that the poor terrorists, who by then had full constitutional rights even though none were US citizens, admitted to confessing to the up until then, worst terrorist attack on American soil, because they were tortured with water. The judge decided to release the prisoners.

The released prisoners and their terrorist groups began attacking America soon after. Despite these terrorist attacks leaving several major cities in the US, in ruins, the president assured Americans that they were safe and that there was no need to panic.

Many US citizens, and people in countries around the world, angry with our president and those in charge responsible for the terrorists' release, decided to disregard the president's words. They took matters into their own hands. They also began to take serious the words of a man named Nostradamus, a man from the 16th century, who claimed he could see the future. He predicted the world would end in the year 2012.

They began building bomb shelters, saving gallons of clean water, stocking up on non-perishable food, and making emergency plans for their families.

Terrorist attacks escalated, first in the terrorists' neighboring countries, then in Europe, Asia, and finally the US. Terrorists released biological and chemical weapons into the air, and into the food and water supplies, wiping out millions around the world.

One year after the terrorist attacks began, in 2011, countries that still possessed nuclear capabilities and the workers to maintain them, starting attacking any one they felt was responsible for the terrorist attacks. In a matter of months, anyone who did not build bomb shelters, perished. Out of 6.8 billion people on Earth, less than three billion survived.

The children wanted to know why almost four billion people did not build bomb shelters to protect themselves from inevitable extinction. The parents looked at each other, and with tears in the eyes said,

"Because they believed in the lie the president of the most powerful country in the world told them about hope and change. They had hope, and they believed in the change."
