Most of the time any nightclub that has an obvious problem with underage patrons in Chicago, gets a bad reputation from of age clubbers. To help curb this problem, several clubs have started hosting 18 and over nights once a week to give younger revelers a night to join in on the fun.
Here are the best 18 and over nightclubs in Chicago, including clubs that host once a week 18 and over nights. If you are planning a birthday party with a mix of underage and 21+ friends, or are just underage and looking for a great night of dancing these clubs all deliver.
Club Mambo
3336 North Milwaukee Avenue
Club Mambo is a great place to head to if you love to dance. The Latin club features a tropical scene that will put you in the mood for music and dancing the minute you step in the doors. Club Mambo keeps the scene and the crowd fresh with a mix of visiting Djs that are new to the scene or come with a following. For those who are of drinking age, there are two bars where you can drink in the club.
Club Volkan
2501 South Kedzie Avenue
A South Side option and a very popular spot for the 18 and over crowd is Club Volkan. For those that are underage, the crowd is great, but unlike Mambo there is not a well spread out age demographic. The crowd pretty much consists of all 18-20 year olds. Perks though include an incredible dance floor and sound system, the club is also known for the acts it books and the celebrity Djs that are flown in for the weekend. Go for the three different rooms of music and the low cover charges, avoid if you are not up to date on what is popular with the neighborhood gangs. There is a very strict dress code and I have seen more people turned away at the doors than any other club in Chicago because of the colors or brand of clothing they are wearing.
Zero Gravity
22W613 75th St, Naperville
For those living in the near Chicago suburbs Zero Gravity is a great option. The doors at this nightclub are only open to those between the ages of sixteen and twenty four though, so it is definitely a different atmosphere. The club is split in two, with a separate room and bar for the over 21 crowd to drink in. Zero Gravity really is a great place to dance, and they have established a name for themselves because of the celebrities they manage to book.

I plan to come and bring my friends with me from Cincinnati, OH. This is for my 20th birthday!
Sounds like a lot of fun.

I have heard of some of these types of places. Wasn't sure where they were.
