This incident is intriguing for several reasons, not the least of which is the witnesses' credibility, and possibly, their motivation in reporting their sighting. The witnesses are all aviation professionals, and include several pilots. According to an article by Chicago Tribune's Transportation Editor John Hilkevitch, who is covering this story, the witnesses were initially concerned mainly in the safety and operational threat this object posed, and were in no way promoting the idea they had seen an alien craft from another world.
Hilkevitch asserts he initially encountered an air of flat, and likely, organized denials from the high ranks of United, but after his filing of a Freedom of Information Act request regarding the incident, their tune is changing. Apparently though, the FAA has no plans for investigating the incident, and has attributed the well-defined, gray, elliptical shaped craft, which, upon shooting off into the clouds from a low, fixed position, with such energy and power, that it left a vacuous, dount-shaped ring in said clouds, to "weird weather".

Post a CommentI can personally attest to seeing a UFO in the Nevada desert way back in the 70's..was it alien? I don't know...but it didn't fit any known explanations...and for the crazy christians...what are you going to do when millions of you don't dissappear and you are forced to live with us? Let's all work together for a better world, not destroy this one as we dream of another...
Well, for other Christians out there, many theologians believe that UFO's will be one way the antichrist explains the disappearance of millions after the rapture.... they believe satan fuels the belief in UFO's and the paranormal so that he can use these things to his advantage during the apocalypse. Interesting, huh?
a ufo at an airport? well if the government was making sauser crafts, where else would you expect to find them besides airports and air force stations? DUH!!!
Not only normal, but obviously very familiar to avaiation professionals, and PILOTS. Weather phenomena is a standard, meaningless stock dismissal.
It's funny how the report is being dismissed as weather phenomenon b/c of the low airport lights and cloud cover. however, those weather conditions are relatively normal, isn't it?
weird weather? How typical :-)
