Chickasabogue Park, located at 760 Aldock Road, Eight Mile, Alabama offers RVers the opportunity to stay on 1100 acres of oaks, pines and dogwoods all included in a wildlife refuge and outdoor recreation facility. This location could be the perfect area to park an RV if you are working at Saraland Refinery in Saraland, Alabama, which is only about 5 miles away.

RVers who use Chickasabogue Park for their home base while in the Saraland, Alabama area have the choice of a site that has full hook-ups, meaning there is water, electricity and sewer at the RV site, or they can choose to stay at a site that only has water and electricity. The rate for full hook-ups is $18 per night and for RV sites which only have water and electricity are $15 per night. RVers are welcome to bring their pets with them as long as they are on a leash whenever they are outside their RV and they are up-to-date on all their shots. Also, there is a limit of 8 people per RV site. The only thing really missing is a laundromat, which will be important if you are planning on staying for an extended time.

Safety of the people using the park is important. There are professional guards on duty at all times, 24 hours per day, and the gates at the entrance of the park are locked each night. Day use hours for those who do not wish to camp here are 7 in the morning to dusk each evening, but those who are camping are more than welcome to stay overnight.

Activities for RVers or others who may be enjoying Chickasabogue Park range from watching the wildlife, such as armadillos, racoons, foxes and deer, that shares their home with those visiting to picnicking on the beach area of the park, playing disc golf, swimming or taking a leisurely canoe trip. There are also volleyball and horseshoe areas, basketball courts and softball fields for those who enjoy competition type activities as well as a performing arts stage and a playground. There is also the oldest Methodist/Episcopal Church in Alabama located on the park property. Fishing is another favorite pass time for those who stay or visit Chickasabogue Park and catfish, bass, bluegill and crappie are among the fish that are often caught.
