Chicken Cacciatore in the Slow Cooker: Italian in Minutes

Barbie Crafts
You can prepare an Italian dinner that will wow your family and friends and it will require little preparation at all. You only need to throw a few ingredients in your Crock-Pot before you leave the house; when you get home, just throw on some pasta and dinner is done!

Slow cookers are the most wonderful gadgets in the kitchen. They have been around since the 1970's, but they are becoming a very popular item once again. The convenience is not the only advantage of using a slow cooker because taste is enhanced when you prepare food this way.

You can serve this Chicken Cacciatore recipe on any type of pasta, but it is particularly good on fettucini noodles.

Ingredients:
Marinara Sauce: 1 jar
Water: 1/4 cup
Rotel Original tomatoes: 1 can undrained
1/2 medium onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
8-10 frozen boneless chicken tenderloins
Parmesan to sprinkle on the top
Pasta of your choice: 1 box
Oil or non-stick spray for the Crock-pot

Instructions:

1. Oil the slow cooker and place the chicken in the pot.

2. Add the sauce, water, Rotel tomatoes, and chopped vegetables.

3. Cook 2-3 hours on high, or all day on low. Stir occasionally, if possible.

4. Serve over cooked pasta with Parmesan sprinkled on top.

Remember:
Always check the chicken to be sure it is done. You never want to eat chicken that is undercooked.
