Chicken Pie

Have some chicken breasts but don't quite know what to do with them? Make a Chicken Pie! When it's done, it really looks like a chicken pie.

Here is what you will need:

4 large chicken breasts

1 can cream of celery soup

2 cans chicken broth

1 cup self-rising flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup milk

½ stick of margarine, melted

Here is how you will make the Chicken Pie:

(1) First, you must boil the chicken.

(2) Skin and debone and tear the chicken into small pieces.

(3) Place the chicken pieces into a greased casserole dish

(4) Pour a can of cream of celery soup and chicken broth over the chicken.

(5) Now you need to make the topping.

(6) Mix the flour, baking powder, and milk together in a bowl.

(7) Add the melted margarine and stir.

(8) Pour this topping over the top of the chicken dish.

(9) Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

This Chicken Pie will please the simplest tastes. It does not contain tons of ingredients, but yet it is far from being plain. Chicken Pie is great as a quick and easy main dish at dinner. Another good thing is that you are able to use either fresh chicken breasts you just bought or chicken that you have leftover from a previous meal.

Your entire family is going to love it - I mean, who has a family member that doesn't like chicken? (Excluding non-meat eaters of course.) Chicken Pie goes very well with mashed potatoes, garden peas, corn on the cob and cornbread.
