To spot a Chilango is not very hard when you are in Mexico or the United States, because Chilangos are the most different kind of Mexican in the way they act and talk. Being a Chilango means you are from Mexico City, Mexico and you were born and raised their your whole life. The reason a Chilango is very different compared to a regular city raised person in Mexico is by way a Chilango talks when he or she opens their mouth. In the United States I always meet Chilangos, because their way of talking or accent is very different compared to normal Mexicans. Their accent is an accent that shows no remorse for people listening around them. Their way of talking includes a lot of cursing and rude language, but they do not mean their rude comments that is just the way they were raised to talk. I have a friend that is a Chilango and he is very nice, but at first I had to get used to his rude way of talking. At first I thought this friend was a city type person, but I soon found out that he likes the Mexican country side culture a whole lot He even liked the way our Mexican Country Music sounded and he named a lot of my favorite artists. I soon got to know him very well, and he even have insisted on me getting married with his daughter.
Chilango people dress very differently compared to various parts of Mexican cities, because these people are really concerned about what is in style at the current moment. From their clothing to their new hair cut, or the way they comb their hair. You really can't tell if you are talking to a Chilango, because Chilango people look Mexican and their clothing is similar to any city type clothing, but as soon as they start talking you are positive they were born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico.
Please leave comments on my work, and please leave any past experiences of your encounters with Chilango people. Well I have to go and call my close friend of mine and see what he is doing this evening, and if he is not busy we are going to drink some beer, because Chilango people like to drink a whole lot of beer.

Post a CommentLMAO, Every chilango I know drinks ALOT of beer.
I think that, many of you got it incorrect, before making coments about a country, you need to know more about it, saying that only mexicans born in Mexico city are the worst of Mexicans is just ignorant. All cities in the world have good and bad citizens, not all Mexican in Mexio city us slang and bad words, I live in Canada, born in Mexico city like all my family, I have strong ties with many cities in south america and central america and I have seen the same case over and over, just the few ignorants are accounted for, what about all the good people, the professional, the regular people, those that make thinks run? lets check our own back yard first.
I am an American woman born and raised in America, I met a Mexican man in Mexico when I went for a vacation...we fell madly in love and been together for many years..I must say he does not drink any beers or alcohol and he is a kind loving man..I met his family and they are very good people. A long time ago before I met my husband I thought Mexican were a disgrace because of what I heard...but when I actually got the opportunity to live in Mexico and marry a Mexican...I knew I misjudged them only because of what I heard..I had to actually be in the situation to really know the truth of the Mexican culture and families...They are good people who would like to get a chance to do better for their lives and a greater difference for their family.,,I blame my country for not giving them an opportunity in America as a human being...Lucky for my husband and I we are in love and he is a productive American citizen born in Mexico..he was productive in Mexico just as he is in America and of al
For 10 years I went back and forth between New York and Mexico City. Usually 8 times a month. I can only compare Chilangos to Americans from Long Island. Some of the rudest most low class people I've been exposed to in my life. I love the rest of Mexico...it's just the people in the capital that give Mexicans a bad name. Mexico City...you can have it.
thank u all for the useful information, and thanks "grinolizado" funny name lol.peace.
Actually Chilangos are born in Mexico City. It%27s just that Chilangos were foreigners that moved to Mexico City. It%27s changed. Just like Gringos refers to Americans visiting Mexico%2C but then Gringos started as %22foreingers%22 in Argentina during the 19th century shown in Gaucho literature. Anyway%2C I do agree many natives of Mexico City don%27t like to be called Chilangos but Capitalino or whatever%2C but Chilango is dominant and taken serious pride for much of Mexico City.
thanks for the support "just me" you rock.
I agree with "None of your business." When I came across this article I was amazed at how someone can write an article like this. First of all Chilangos are NOT born in the City. I was born in the City and I am a Capitalina NOT Chilanga. So before you write an article make sure you know what you are talking about. Secondly, not just "Chilangos" as you call them drink a lot of beer.
I just wanted to thank "none of your business" for the love on my writing work, holla at ya boy
