Diet - Child Obesity
When the child is at young age, most parents concerned that the child doesn't eat enough. Child doesn't look plumy as he or she used to look when the child was a mere a baby. Parents tend to feed the child more than the child can take. This feeding habit puts child obese. One should see whether the child is active or not. All children don't look plumy, some are thin but health. Obese child may not be healthy. Child obesity is a disease, not a positive sign for the over growth and health of the child. Don't over feed your child; allow them to have their food and diet according to the child wish. All children don't eat in the same manner, some children have good appetite and other may not. See if your child is active or not.
Sedentary life and lack of exercise - Child Obesity
Second reason for child obesity is the modern way of life and lack of proper exercise. When both the parents are working the child tends to have junk, sealed, or ready made food. These foods taste good but are high in fat, oil, and lack in nutrition. These junk foods along with aerated cold drinks increase the fat content and with time assist the child obese. Because lack of proper time we don't take the child to play ground or other physical activity areas, after coming from school children either sit in front of television watching cartoon network or engage in video games or play in computers. That means no physical exercise. Every child should do some kind of physical exercise for forty minutes on daily basis. Physical exercise helps the child to grow healthy. But lack of exercise creates the child obese.
Watching television and having junk food - Child obesity
It has become a common problem in every house hold that children sit for hours in front of television watching cartoon network or Harry Potter movies or sports channel and munch potato chips or some junk food. This kind of activity of sitting hours in front of television and eating junk and fatty foods added to it, aerated cold drinks builds the child obese.
Shortage or lack of time of parents - Child obesity
As I have mentioned earlier that when both the parents work and they don't have proper time to prepare good healthy fresh diet, and depend on sealed ready made food or junk and fast food. Children don't get balanced diet, and make a habit of having fatty food which only aggravates and makes the child obese. They only have saturated fatty foods, or food with high protein. Fast food and junk foods only serves in child obesity.
The bottom line is that the way we live today, fast life having junk and fast food, lack of physical exercise tends the child obese. The poor child either engaged in school activates or sitting hours in front of television or video games and munching sealed or packed foods makes a child obese. Some times after having food children sleep for hours in afternoon ,also have a tendency to deposit fat and creates the child obese. For child obesity we parents are to be blamed not the child. Give your child fresh nutrition food and diet. Make habit to your children to have some physical exercise every day. On weekends let them have few hours swimming or some outdoor games, cycling or take them to gym.
