Sheriff' Lt. Tony Wooten, who had just completed a three-day training course on Internet crime, and says "There is so much out there (child porn) and it's so easy for people to find." He also issued a warning to parents to monitor their children closely when they are on the Internet because there are so many predators who seek out the sites frequented by children.
Jody Chadwick is an unemployed man who spends the bulk of his time online viewing pictures and videos of children who are being molested. Police found in his possession three videos and a still photo of children involved in sexually explicit conduct. Many of the more than two dozen arrested in this sweep were reported to the task force by their Internet Service Providers.
In another incident, Lenny Shuster, 47, of Connecticut was arrested last year for traveling in order to have sex with a minor. On Shuster's computer the police found many images of child sexual assaults, including the video of a six-year-old Florida girl being raped by her uncle. The girl, who is now 15 years old, is haunted because the images of her sexual assault keep playing over and over across the Internet. She says of her experience, "Knowing that some sick person is looking at me on the computer every day in a way that no child should ever be looked at . . . makes me feel violated (again). It makes me want to throw up."
According to The Innocent Justice Foundation, there is a direct correlation between viewing pornographic images and sexual contact with children. Information on the Innocent Justice website also says that Government statistics show that those who view pornography have already violated from 14-31 victims before they are ever caught and that the United States is the number one producer and consumer of pornography in the world. That is a record that should cause America great shame.
As we become more aware of the size and scope of this problem in our nation, and as more agencies and government funding is directed toward solving the problem, we can make a difference. There is even more help on the horizon for The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Forces, which will help to network information and technologies as we all join hands together to defeat this blight upon our nation and rescue the many innocent victims of internet crimes against children.
The young lady who was victimized in Florida at age 6 continues to experience this never-ending humiliation as her pictures are spread across the country and around the world. No child should ever have to bear that kind of humiliation.

Post a CommentTo Nunya: Please go back and read this one sentence regarding Jody Chadwick. "Police found in his possession three videos and a still photo of children involved in sexually explicit conduct." I did not make that up . . . Sorry if the article offends you, but I simply reported on the story that has been published in the newspaper and upon evidence found by the local police department.
*PLEASE READ MY FIRST POSTING BELOW AS I WAS CUT OFF*
just goes to show you how people love to play telephone in attempt to stone someone over something that was inadvertingly not their fault. The truth of the matter is that we should be attacking these p2p servers. We monitor the internet for these crimes that can happen so why not p2p? If you were to go into limewire right now and type that exact same thing...you will download child porn. And according to the author of this, this means you spend the bulk of your time getting off on innocent children being taken advantage of, and you need to be "exterminated" as some of the other comments are suggesting. This case has not even went to trial yet this man is condemned with lies. Search the facts before you believe anything people say. All of these words come from the assumption of a middle aged woman who would rather conjour up lies to rant about, over something she and most of us do not like. Casting the first stone...as so
It amazes me that my comment was deleted from this post just a day after I put it up several months ago. First of all, I have been following this case and the writer of this story is conjuring up things that do not exist, and twisting alleged facts that are not even true. The real story is that Jody Chadwick was using a peer-to-peer(p2p) server known as LimeWire. He typed in "Girls Gone Wild" on the search engine and simply clicked "download all". He went to bed and got up the next morning and found that the engine not only downloaded Girls Gone Wild videos, but also downloaded anything with the word "girl" in it. Such as pre-teen "girl" or young "girl(s)". The FBI noted that all of the videos and pictures downloaded were viewed once and then erased after Mr. Chadwick saw what they were. I quote the author when she says, "spends the bulk of his time online viewing pictures and videos of children who are being molested". This is completely false and just goes to show you how peo
Its sad to see that in this age we still cannot protect the children. I mean for the people who created all this internet crap, they should have thought of ways to not have innocent children being exploited on the web. I mean it should sicken them. that and for the pervs who put that crap out there they need to be found and put in jail for life in a hole. Technology now a days is so fn advanced that I am positive they can do something about this and get rid of this problem. i am so saddened for these innocent children having to be put through all of this. It just breaks my heart.
I would love to be an exterminator for such vermin.
I wish there was some way to permanently get rid of them.
I wish there was more we could all do collectively! Such a sad thing to hear about! Good report, JOY!
I just don't know what to say..........
Such a sickening crime.
sick man!
