Children Tylenol Recalled Three Times in Seven Months!

As a parent, I always check for recalls. Recalls are usually done when a product is defective for one reason or another. What is scary about recalls, is when they involve food or medicine. Yesterday, Johnson & Johnson recalled Children's Tylenol.

On Thursday, Johnson & Johnson recalled 21 units of various medicines, one of them being Children's Tylenol. This is not the first time Children's Tylenol has been on the recall list. Back in January 2010, Johnson & Johnson recalled a number of different medicines, including Children's Tylenol.

Then in April of 2010, Johnson & Jonson recalled 130 million bottles of Infants and Children's Tylenol.

As a parent, hearing this bothers me a lot. I have given my own children Tylenol in the past when there were not feeling well. With three different recalls this year, I think it is time to put Tylenol on the shelf or in the trash.

When it comes to recalls of food and drugs, it is important to keep yourself up to date. Many people do not know how to do this, but there are various websites you can contact.

For medicine, you can find out recalls by visiting drugalert.org. If it is food or drugs, then you should check out the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. However, the most important link you should have handy, and check regular, is recalls.gov. Recalls.gov will keep you up to date on any recall, whether it is food, drugs, or toys.
