Kangaroo Conservation Center seeks to preserve endangered animal species in their natural habitat. Established 25 years ago, Kangaroo Conservation Center serves as a wildlife preserve. Animals served include Australasian animals threatened with extinction or exploitation. Visitors view tropical plants, Australasian lizards and birds in an environment similar to their native habitat. A butterfly picnic garden provides an area to view kangaroos while you enjoy your meal.

Uncle Shuck's Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch

Uncle Shuck's Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch extends over a 12-acre field of corn with four miles of trails. Children make a choice of which trail or path to follow, sometimes bringing them to a dead end. Visitors enjoy a different maze every year. Carefully placed checkpoints provide security throughout the maze experience. Visitors might complete the maze in as little as 30 minutes. Two mazes provide up to two hours of excitement. Exit opportunities offer participants the ability to leave at any time they choose.

Stars and Stripes Family Fun Center provides games and bowling for children. Bumpers along the bowling lanes enable small bowlers the supports they need to experience bowling success. Amicalola State Park

Amicalola State Park boasts the beautiful Amicalola Waterfalls. Amicolala means 'tumbling waters' in Cherokee. Hikers access an 8.5 mile long trail, which is part of the Appalachian Trail and leads to Springer Mountain. The park includes a lodge with hotel features, cottages and a campground. Maple Restaurant is renowned for its Sunday brunch and view. Seasonal events such as Wilderness Survival Weekend, Appalachian Thanksgiving and Christmas Open House occur on site. A visitor center includes a gift shop and nature exhibits.

Crimson Gold Mines

Crimson Gold Mines is a place where children experience what it is like to pan for gold. The staff at Crimson Gold Mines assist visitors in the gold panning and gem grubbing process. An exhibition demonstrates the process of separating gold from sand. The lucky visitor walks away with a gold nugget and some gold flakes.
